Audi RS7: An Autonomous Car That Reaches 240 km/h

Audi showed the RS7, an autonomous model that was able to reach 239 km / h in a closed circuit in Germany.

One of the advantages of autonomous cars is that they can get from point A to point B, without the intervention of a human being. Since it is not a person who is behind the wheel, the odds are minimized caused by human error, such as tiredness, sleep or distraction. Under these conditions, theoretically it will be safe to travel at speeds much higher than those that are currently legally permitted. And with that assumption is that the Audi RS7 presented an autonomous model capable of reaching 240 km / h, reports Popular Science.

The car manufacturer has tested this model in a closed circuit in Germany and then put a human pilot to do the same circuit. The driver took five seconds longer than the autonomous car. Still do not know pricing or release dates for this model.
